Clutch Moving Company packs households and offices so every item is boxed, wrapped, and ready before the truck arrives. We bring the boxes and the packing materials, and our movers do the work. You can book packing on its own or add it to any move we run.
What our packing service covers
Our movers work room by room and handle the parts of packing that take the longest:
- Supplying boxes, wrapping paper, tape, and protective materials
- Packing kitchens, wardrobes, closets, and home offices
- Wrapping electronics, glassware, and artwork individually before boxing
- Padding furniture before it leaves the room
- Reassembling furniture that needs it once you are in the new place
If you only want part of the house packed, say so during your estimate. We build the estimate around the rooms and items you point out, so you are not paying for work you planned to do yourself.
Items that get extra attention
Some things break because of how they were packed, not how they were carried. Our movers give these categories their own handling:
Kitchens. Plates, stemware, and small appliances are wrapped piece by piece and packed in boxes sized to limit movement.
Electronics. Screens, towers, and components are padded and boxed so nothing presses against a display or a port.
Artwork and framed pieces. Frames and canvases are wrapped and protected at the corners before boxing or crating.
Wardrobes. Hanging clothes go into wardrobe boxes, so they arrive on hangers instead of folded in a bag.
Furniture. Sofas, tables, and case goods are padded before they move, and anything that came apart to clear a doorway is put back together at the other end.
Who does the packing
The movers packing your home are not day laborers hired for the day. Every Clutch Moving Company employee is screened with a background check before they are hired, and every one of them completes a two-week training period on handling and securing client items. We pay above the industry average, which keeps our turnover low and puts more experienced movers in your rooms.
The company has been operating since 2017 and has moved more than 3,000 families. We work under California license T019689 and handle homes at both ends of the scale, from one-bedroom apartments to properties over 20,000 square feet.
How the packing is protected
Basic Valuation Protection is included at no extra cost when you book. That coverage is calculated at $0.60 per pound.
If you are packing antiques, collections, or high-value electronics and want coverage above that, Baker’s International offers extended valuation protection. You can reach them at bakerintl.com or 1-800-356-0099. Arrange extended coverage before your packing date rather than after.
