The day has finally come: it’s time to settle into your new home!  However, during a Move, you move all of your things, it's a real possibility that something will get damaged or lost. No matter what precautions and measures we take, accidents still happen. That's why it's important to look over your shipment for any damage or loss and to know how to file a claim if necessary. With Clutch we will do our best to reimburse you for the damages caused. We deal with damages and we have a set up procedure for this below.

 

How To File A Claim

To file a claim, click the button below. Before you do so though, please read through the following commonly asked questions.

  1. What should I do?
    Note any missing and/or damaged items. Be sure to thoroughly go through all items before filing the claim because only 1 claim is allowed per shipment. Take photos of all damaged items. (Only 1 Claim allowed per shipment)
  2. How do I start the claims process?
    All claims are filed digitally through our website. Click the button below to fill out your claim.
  3. What should I do with the damaged items?
    Keep all damaged items in the same conditions and location as when delivered until assigned a claim adjuster. *Be sure to keep all damaged items and/or boxes, if items are thrown away claim may be denied.
  4. How long until an adjuster will reach out to me?
    Normally a claims adjuster will reach out within 24-48 hours after claim is submitted on our website.
  5. How will I get my items repaired or reimbursed?
    An adjuster will schedule a time to have a repair company inspect the damaged items. The repair company will determine if the item was damaged in transit and also determine if the items is repairable. The repair company will give the cost of the repair, based on the cost Clutch Moving Company will determine whether repair or replacement will be of lesser value.
